Cassie’s Thoughts: Dear Anonymous, that looks like it would taste really good! It is difficult to tell exactly the cut of meat or how it was prepared, so in the future, if you add those details it will help us in giving our opinions. There might be a little bit too much meat for the serving and I’d recommend using a whole grain bread instead of the white bread (you may also want to limit the weekly amount of red meat you consume). Overall, I’d say it looks pretty good! I would estimate the calories to be about 150-200 for the meat, 50 for the snow peas and 50-100 for the bread. A pretty nice meal for about 300 calories! B+
Kelly’s Thoughts: I agree with Cassie! This meal looks DELISH! Filling at least half of your plate with veggies is definitely a great way to “Shape Up” your plate. Keeping your protein serving to 4-6oz would be a good idea and like Cassie said, exchanging your white french bread for a piece of whole wheat bread would provide you with additional vitamins and fiber that you are otherwise missing out on with enriched white bread. I would give your meal an A-.
