Celestial Seasonings Tea

What’s better on a hot day than a cold drink? One of my favorite moments of summer is sipping a nice cold glass of tea. I usually don’t sweeten it but will add a slice of lemon if I have some. If you are tired of just drinking water at restaurants, iced tea is my second favorite choice. But sometimes, I get a hankering for something a little different. Britton and I went to the Celestial Seasonings factory in Boulder, Colorado a couple of summers ago (click the link above to read about it) and have been hooked on this great tea called Sweet Zinger Ice ever since.

It’s sweetened with Stevia which is a naturally sweet herb with no calories. There are a variety to choose from but my favorite is the Acai Mango. It tastes better than koolaid and is herbal tea- not artificial flavorings or colorings! The thing that makes the bright pink color is the hibiscus! This would be a great way to trick kids into drinking tea :-)

I usually cold brew it by placing four tea bags in the sun tea container and put it in the fridge. In just a couple of hours I have a great calorie-free, low cost drink! The only problem is that I have not been able to find the stevia teas in stores, so I have Britton make a detour from work (in Longmont near Boulder) and pick us up a few boxes every couple of months. Yum!

Do you have a favorite summertime tea or drink?
